Bulb Sales

Isn't it exciting when you finally hit on a successful fundraiser in which all of your members love to participate, and helps to bring in the money to help you fund your various Rotary projects! You bet it is!
And our Bulb Sale Fundraiser has grown into just that!

Who wouldn't love to participate in selling bulbs that help add color and constrast to gardens, both residential and commercial, throughout your community. Each year a team of our members sits down with local experts to choose the varieties and combinations of bulbs and other spring/summer plants to sell. Each year we have met or exceeded our goal!

Bulbs are sold in the summer, then delivered in the Fall, just in time for planting. Look around town.

See any bulbs?
They might just be ours!

First, you should know that proceeds from our Bulb sales are used for both local community and international Rotary Projects. Family Day at the Lake, Senior Home Repair, The Glory Hole, Russian Orphanage Projects, Group Study Exchange, UAS and International Ambassadorial Scholarships are just a few of the many projects funded through our bulb sales revenue.

Our packaging helps to insure your success: Because we want you to enjoy our product and get the best possible spring color, we include bulb fertilizer in each order. We also enclose a "helpful hints guide" to help you plant and take care of your bulbs.

A word about how long to expect your bulbs to last: Seasoned Southeast gardeners will tell you to be prepared to re-plant many of your bulbs after two years - and that the first year is the best - particularly for tulips, and even daffodils, depending on the special climate pocket you live in. Some bulbs we've selected will last several years, provided you take care of them. Some gardeners prefer to think of bulbs as annuals, and enjoy trying new bulb combinations each year. Either way, your investment will be returned in the enjoyment you and your neighbors receive. And the bonus is that you are also investing in the good that comes from supporting an active service organization.

Want bulbs but can't plant? Tempted by the idea of a spring bulb garden, but don't see how or when you'll get around to planting them? Just want someone to help motivate you to get started? For $20.00/Rotarian /hour, we are offering our own talented Rotary Yard Slaves. We can either help you, or do your planting. You supply any sand or mulch to prepare your planting area, estimate your labor needs and we'll make sure your bulbs don't mold in your garage!
