Harvest Fair

 

The 2002 Harvest Fair is scheduled for Saturday, August 31, 2002 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Join us in the new community garden shelter!

Rules and Regulations for the harvest fair

1. Entries are open to all gardeners.
2. Exhibitors must be the bona fide grower of the item to be exhibited. (For example, in the Youth Category, the child must have grown the vegetables on their own.)
3. There are two departments: Adult and youth. All Division Classes and Lots will be the same for Adults and Youth.  
4. Each Division is divided into Classes & Lots. Exhibitors may enter all Classes and Lots. However, we request only one entry per Lot. (For example, only one type of carrot per Lot.)
5. Entry forms must be completed by the entrant for each entry. Forms will be made available at the Community Garden.
6. All entries must be submitted between 9:00 - 11:00 am on the morning of the fair. 
7. Exhibits will be judged between 11:00 - Noon on Saturday.  The exhibit area (only) will be closed to the public during this time period.
8. Exhibits may be viewed between Noon - 4:00.  No exhibits or awards may be removed before 4:00 pm.

10:00 - 4:00  Sign up for next year's gardens
11:00 - 3:00  Farmer's Market
11:00 - 3:00  Garden tours begin, every 30-minutes
  1:00 - 3:00  Activities for kids
  3:00 - 4:00  Award ceremony and door prizes
            4:00  Remove exhibits - fair closes
